    Art lovers have only few days left to explore ‘Subversive Forms of Social Sculpture’, an exhibit of visionary, exciting, thought-provoking and impressive works by two foremost conceptual artists.
    One of the most popular exhibitions of Sharjah Museums Authority’s 2018 season, ‘Subversive Forms of Social Sculpture’ will run until November 17th at Sharjah Art Museum.
    The exhibit features pieces by the celebrated artists Abdulnaser Gharem, from Saudi Arabia, and Austrian Heimo Zobernig. A total of 40 works are on show including installations, short films and sculptures, as well as paintings and other pieces.
    Through their work the artists make subtle and poignant comments about the structures, establishments, traditions and cultural norms that exist in society.
    A Lieutenant Colonel in the Saudi Arabian army, Gharem is one of the region’s most sought-after conceptual artists.
    Zobernig, who comes from Austria, pushes the boundaries with his pieces that use elements of cubism and nature to create a clear visual aesthetic.
    ‘Subversive Forms of Social Sculpture’ invites visitors to immerse themselves in the world of conceptual art by experiencing two of the medium’s most celebrated practitioners in an outstanding exhibit that challenges and intrigues while also captivating its audience.
