Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) announced today that it has closed all its museums until the end of this month, subject for extension.
The move comes in line with the precautionary measures undertaken in the country to limit the spread of the Covid-19 corona virus.
SMA confirmed that its decision to close all its 16 museums, which comes as part of its responsibility as an educational and cultural establishment, is to ensure public safety and help prevent viral infections.
Effective today, all SMA museums will be temporarily closed, namely Sharjah Archaeology Museum; Sharjah Art Museum; Al Eslah School Museum; Al Mahatta Museum; Bait Al Naboodah; Bait Sheikh Saeed Bin Hamed Al Qasimi; Sharjah Aquarium; Sharjah Calligraphy Museum; Sharjah Classic Cars Museum; Sharjah Discovery Centre; Sharjah Fort; Sharjah Heritage Museum; Sharjah Maritime Museum; Sharjah Museum of Islamic Civilization; Sharjah Science Museum and Hisn Khor Fakka.
