Sharjah Museums welcomes families on Eid second day

On the second day of Eid al Fitr, museums across Sharjah will return to regular opening hours, Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has announced.

On the second day of Eid al Fitr, museums across Sharjah will return to regular opening hours, Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA) has announced.

 

With a plethora of selections to choose from, ranging from cars and aviation, to archaeology and art, all members of the society are invited enjoy the enormous collections available at SMA museums.

 

In addition to their fascinating collections, different SMA museums have put together year-long activities programs that includes self-workshops aimed at families with children aged 6 to 12.

 

Visitors can also enjoy art exhibitions located at Sharjah Art Museum, including Lasting Impressions, which shines a light on the works of the late Algerian artist known as Baya.

 

Other exhibitions at Sharjah Art Museum include Modern and Contemporary Arab Art Collection, Barjeel Art Foundation’s ‘A Century in Flux’ exhibition, and Emirate’s Fine Arts Society’s annual exhibition.

 

Starting the second day of Eid Al-Fitr, museums will resume their regular opening  hours from 8am till 8pm, Saturday through Thursday, and open on Fridays at 4pm until 8pm.

 

Both Sharjah Aquarium and Sharjah Maritime Museum are open at 2pm on Fridays.
