1. How many museums are under Sharjah Museums Authority?

  • 16 museums.

  • The16 museums across Sharjah cover a variety of fields, including Islamic civilisation, arts, culture, heritage, science, archeology, marine life, as well as the history of Sharjah and the region.

  •   Sharjah Archeology museum, Opened in May 10, 1997, is the first established museum.
 
 

  • No. Only VIP groups, school visits, tourist groups, and organization visits require advance booking.

  • Other languages may be available on audio guides in some museums (upon availability). You may enquire about the audio guide at the museum reception desk.

Yes, free parking is available for all museums’ visitors.
 

  • Depending on the museum, the tour takes approximately 30-45 minutes for a general tour.

  • Yes, free WiFi is available at all Sharjah museums except Sharjah Heritage Museum, Bait Sheikh Saeed Al Qasimi and Al Eslah School Museum.
